
From Biology Concepts to an Interactive Learning Experience
A student team from Bal Rastriya Secondary School used Scratch to make ecosystems, food chains, and animal adaptation easier to understand through an interactive digital project.
For many students, concepts like ecosystems, food chains, and adaptation can be difficult to understand through textbooks and static diagrams alone.
The team from Bal Rastriya Secondary School wanted to make these concepts easier to visualize and explore. Their idea was to create an interactive learning experience using Scratch that could explain how living organisms interact within an ecosystem and how they adapt to their surroundings.
Working as a team, Arbin Ram, Ansum, Basanta, Niruta, and Chandan turned their biology concept into a digital project designed for fellow students.
Through the project, they explored how a classroom topic can become an interactive experience rather than something students only read about.
More importantly, the project gave them an opportunity to practice coding, problem-solving, collaboration, and presenting an idea through technology.
The project reflects an important part of ForgeEducation's approach: helping students move beyond learning about technology and start using it to explain, explore, and solve problems they encounter in their own learning.
